I AM A SELF-TAUGHT ARTIST FROM CLOUGHJORDAN, COUNTY TIPPERARY, IRELAND. BORN IN 1992, I HAVE A PASSION FOR ART, MAINLY FOR CREATING SOMETHING NEW, DIFFERENT AND SURREAL. I LOVE TO INTERPRET MY EMOTIONS INTO UNREALISTIC ACTION SCENES.
I PAINT WITH ACRYLIC AND ON WOOD THAT I CUT OUT MYSELF INTO IRREGULAR SHAPES. THIS CREATES AN INTERESTING AND ATTRACTIVE PIECE.
I have taken part in some painting workshops and received a few tips along the way from other artists, however, most of my discovery about painting methods and techniques were made through trial and error over the years. This is why I call myself a self-taught artist.
I started painting when I was about ten years old, but received my first vital piece of advice and direction at the age of fourteen from an exceptionally gifted secondary school art teacher.
When I was sixteen I started selling my paintings in small local markets. Through this I received commissions soon after. At the age of seventeen I did my first mural and received commissions for murals.
A short while after this I took part in an exhibition in my local area but had my first solo exhibition when I had just turned twenty in Nenagh library. From this, I attained much appreciation for my work and of course courage and support to carry on.
I also love to investigate other areas of art, for example makeup art, sculpture using recyclable materials, abstract poetry, street drawing with chalk and charcoal, sketching.
